Prescriptions and Refills

Patients will generally be given prescriptions upon discharge from the hospital after surgery. Sufficient supplies are usually given such that the should not run out prior to a follow-up appointment. In the case that a prescription needs to be refilled, please call the office during business hours when we may reviewed your medical records. In general is preferable to evaluate the patient for any new, persistent or recurrent issues prior to refilling. Certain prescription may not be refilled without a physician evaluation in person first.

Specifically regarding narcotics, if a refill is deemed necessary, please call at least 2 days prior to exhausting your supply. Narcotics will generally not be approved for refill after hours or by phone.
